You want to give flowers to someone close to you and naturally, you want them to enjoy them as much as possible. We will give you some valid tips for the most common flowers:
Roses: - should not be very blooming - if you can see the stamens, they are old; - avoid "bud" roses with a conical shape. This means that the old petals have been broken off, making them look "bud" and will not last more than a day.
Advice:
If you find roses with slightly green petals on the edge, you can be sure they are very fresh. Buy with confidence!
Gerbera: - don't buy gerberas wrapped in foil or reinforced with wire - it means they are old/rotten and won't stand up otherwise.
Chrysanthemum: - buy chrysanthemums that also have leaves - this is the only way you can be sure they are fresh.
Advice:
Don't buy Romanian chrysanthemums. Although cheap and big, they wilt and fall apart within a few hours. You don't want to have an unpleasant surprise!
DO NOT buy flowers at traffic lights or on the sidewalk - recently, street flower vendors have appeared. They go to the garbage containers in the flower shop area and make bouquets that they then sell at traffic lights or on the sidewalk. These flowers are carriers of pathogenic bacteria that endanger your health and that of those around you!
